Latest Updates from Our Project:

Content Preview: Acontecimento, Svalarheima & Conversion Rules
over 8 years ago – Fri, Mar 18, 2016 at 02:25:18 PM

Hi everyone, we've updated the folders with some previews of content. These have just been approved by Corvus Belli and are in the layout queue but we've decided to push out content earlier for you where possible to help spot issues earlier on.

Planet Previews. You'll find the planet chapters for Acontecimento and Svalarheima in the Core Book Folder in your Backerkit Account (if the core book is in your pledge).

Conversion Rules. I think what will be more interesting for some of you though is the Conversion Rules which you'll find in the Players Guide folder. This provides rules to take your RPG character on to the tabletop game, along with an example to help illustrate it. This is some of the exclusive content for the Player's Guide. We've been testing it but now we'd like you to have a crack at it and let us know what you think. The Player's Guide final layout will happen once the core book content is complete so we have a few weeks but please aim to get feedback before the end of March.

With all previews you can submit content via the comments here or through www.modiphius.com/contact  - please try to send comments for the planet chapters by monday if any.

Some Updates:

- We're expecting a flow of laid out chapters through to the end of March as they are approved. You'll see the introduction to Infinity chapter next which is about 25 pages covering the Chronology of the Human Sphere and the Wilderness of Mirrors.

- Next the Psywar chapter will complete the core rules 'How to Play Infinity' section. After that the faction chapters will start coming through and finally the GM chapters, Adversaries and the massive gear section which includes equipment, weapons and armour.

- In the next update we'll unveil some more of the newly approved art so you can see how the Infinity world is coming to life but today we have another couple of pieces from the awesome Bagus Hutomo who was commissioned to produce a lot of the landscape scenes for the core book. This piece is an interior of a Combined Army Ship - something we'll be seeing in the geomorphic tiles soon.

- The whole of the Adventures in the Human Sphere book is in approvals with Corvus Belli (bar two adventures which are being tweaked based on feedback). We hope to start releasing these shortly so you can get playing them whilst they go in to layout.

- The bonus content for the Collector's Edition is due at the end of this month which is a Plot Generator and a system for creating mysteries.

- The Bonus Adventure for Wave 1 is in development and that will go in to layout last since it will be the quickest to print.

- Our writing team have started on their respective supplements and our goal is to speed up the production of art and layout for the supplements once Wave 1 is complete.

- This week we're shipping out miniatures for those of you who just had miniatures in your order. Some of you have chosen to have your miniatures shipped early at cost - if you would like to organise that please use the contact page: www.modiphius.com/contact and Zarina will be in touch to organise it for you.

We'll have another update soon but in the meantime please check out the Conversion Rules and let us know what you think! I'll leave you with another piece from Bagus - A Tohaa environment

Enjoy!

Next Infinity RPG Preview is HERE!
over 8 years ago – Mon, Mar 07, 2016 at 09:36:15 PM

Hi all here's a quick update to say we've just had approval from Corvus Belli for the Playing Infinity Chapter which covers Action Scenes, Infowar and Warfare. You can download it from your Backerkit Account if you have the print or PDF Core Book in your pledge.

Please remember to allow Mediafire to load in your browser - it can sometimes take a few moments to show the files. If something doesn't work try a different browser.

The Infowar section is missing artwork in the grey sections which is due in soon and this will get updated  - we'll let you know when the files are updated so you can check it out.

We're planning to do some examples of play to show you more of how the system works - what would you like to see explained in particular? Please post in the comments below.

Enjoy!

Time for some Tiles!
over 8 years ago – Sun, Mar 06, 2016 at 10:25:20 PM

Corvus Bellis has signed off more of the awesome geomorphic tiles so I wanted to give you a look at them. Jose Esteras the designer is really buzzing and I've just seen an awesome train station and train interior he's produced which I think you're going to love - perfect for those 'fast moving' adventures! Here's a little preview:

UPDATE: First a brief update. We have four more Core Book chapters from the book laid out and ready to reveal, we're just waiting on final approval from Corvus Belli but it shouldn't take long. I hope we'll have at least a couple of them in the next few days for you. Some of the final chapters have benefitted from being in the approvals queue as they have been tweaked by the development team based on the Conan RPG Quickstart.

The Adventures in the Human Sphere is completely written as is the Tabletop conversion rules which is part of the bonus content for the Player's Guide. We're aiming to show it off the conversion rules soon so you can check it out and give final feedback. It's likely we'll show this in draft whilst we're waiting on it to be laid out.

On Tuesday we'll do a more detailed update on the progress of the other books and items so you can see how things are progressing. Unfortunately further layout is going to halt this next week as our designer is in hospital with a bad chest infection, we're hoping for a speedy recovering for him.

The Infinity Miniatures have arrived (both RPG Miniatures and Dire Foes sets) and the warehouse will be sorting them out this week along with the shipping data. Our aim is to do shipments the following week for orders which are just waiting on miniatures only. If you would like to get an early shipment of miniatures beyond what you have already paid for please let us know using our Contact form

As well as paying another member of the team at Corvus Belli to help spend more time on approvals we have taken on a new Art Director James who's joined us full time to focus on working with Corvus Belli, sourcing more artists then managing and briefing the growing Infinity art team (there's a lot of them already).

Now for some geomorphic adventure! You might have seen a couple of these tiles before, but we're still adjusting them. They're supposed to be interior's of battle scarred installations on Paradiso so you can expect smashed equipment (maybe you can get it working?) and out of control plant life taking over...

There's a nasty fire about to unleash mayhem in this tile unless it's brought under control. In the PDF we'll be providing the undamaged versions as well as different overlays of hex and squared grids as well as larger movement spaces.

This cargo bay could be great for an ambush.

Here you can see more damage and plant life

This hangar features a ship or aircraft ready to go - is it still fuelled up or are the keys hidden elsewhere in the ruins. Or perhaps it's missing a critical part? This is an example of a 'clean tile' that's not had the damage and plant life added yet.

This multi-level Command Centre could be a trap or a last stand.

Every base needs a power generator! Again another example of a clean tile.

That's it for today

New Infinity Stretch Goal! Tile Sneak Peak
over 8 years ago – Sat, Feb 27, 2016 at 11:33:28 PM

Tonight we have a sneak peak of a new tile, but first we have a new Infinity RPG Stretch Goal thanks to the massive Kickstarter for Robert E. Howard's Conan: Adventures In An Age Undreamed Of - This is Conan roleplaying as Robert E. Howard wrote it – savage pulp adventure battling ancient horrors in the Hyborian Age. The best bit is you don't have to do anything.

Over the last year a separate team of exceptional writers and artists led by Conan scholar Jeffrey Shanks and lead writer Jason Durall have been working together to create a truly legendary fantasy roleplaying game. One based upon the world of Robert E. Howard's Hyborian Age and that most famous Cimmerian, Conan. We have pulled together an incredible list of artists old and new - the biggest of it's kind for a roleplaying game. This is going to be the most authentic Conan roleplaying game yet with a top team of writers and scholars to ensure it stays true to the original writings. Even better it uses the 2d20 System you're familiar with from Infinity (and used in Mutant Chronicles) but dialled up for savage melee!

So how does it work? Simple - the Conan Kickstarter has just passed the £205,000 Stretch Goal and when it gets to £300,000 (it raised £205k in just 10 days so far with 22 days to go) everyone who is a backer of the Infinity Roleplaying Game will get the bonus. You DO NOT need to back the Conan RPG Kickstarter to get this, it's simply a free bonus as thanks for supporting us and we do this with all our Kickstarter projects.

The Infinity RPG stretch goal for Conan is a set of Ship Interiors - special adventure tiles in PDF showing the insides of typical Human Sphere ships that we'll be producing to match the other tile sets unlocked in the Kickstarter. Get ready for some shipboard action! Here's a sneak peak of a battle damaged tile being worked on for the existing sets by our ace tile designer Jose Esteras. It's not finished yet - is it a launch bay for a TAG or a shuttle? Perhaps it's the entrance to a high security area or power centre?

We are currently working on the analysis of the final balance raised in Backerkit to see what other stretch goals we can break. However we have to deduct shipping costs first and unfortunately all the carriers just raised their prices by a large % at the end of January. We're having to recalculate what this will cost us before we work out the stretch goals. So please bear with us and we'll hopefully have more good news in the next few weeks!

Please help us unlock the Infinity Stretch goal by sharing the link for the Conan Kickstarter with friends. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/modiphius/robert-e-howards-conan-roleplaying-game

We'll have more of these tiles to show off this week and hopefully one or more chapters for you!

Thanks again!

Infinity Production Update
over 8 years ago – Fri, Feb 26, 2016 at 06:38:09 PM

Hi everyone just wanted to give you an update on progress.

  • We have two chapters going through layout at the moment, about 30+ pages ('Playing Infinity' one of the core rules chapters and the Acontecimento Planet chapter) which we hope to get out to you for preview later next week.
  • The whole of the Adventures in the Human Sphere adventure anthology is written and is going through approvals. It will get an edit before going in to layout.
  • There's a lot more chapters in the queue for layout and approvals so we hope things will start to move quite quickly now.
  • Conversion rules for RPG to tabletop to go in the Player's Guide are being tested - the Player's Guide will be laid out after the Core book so we have a little more time
  • We're very advanced with the geomorphic tile sets and hope to show you some example tiles next week.
  • We've been working with CB on finding yet more artists and we now have a really talented crew from across the world. In the next update we'll be showing off some of the new art that's been approved but not yet seen.

PAYMENTS. We have about 20 people whose credit cards did not process in Backerkit and about 100 who still owe some shipping so we'll be emailing you if you're one of these to help sort out the payments.

MINIATURES INBOUND! The big news today is that Corvus Belli have completed production of the miniatures and have just shipped them to us! We expect to get these in about a week and we'll be starting our data crunch next week. Our first priority will be orders that just include miniatures as these can be shipped when the stock arrives.

Enjoy!
